About The Gauntlet
The Gauntlet was started in 1996 to bring up and promote underground metal acts. In 1999 we expanded to include all metal although still focus our efforts on promoting unsigned acts. The site receives over 28,000 unique visitors daily and is the highest ranked metal site according to Alexa.com.
We have implemented a new system for getting bands added to The Gauntlet and it's other sites. This will allow us to get everyone who is serious about getting added to our sites for promotion and cd sales. The method of doing this is a lot different now. We are now requiring unsigned bands to send in a presskit. The presskit will allow us to create a much better site and to promote your band better. The presskit should include, but is not limited to the following items:
- Band Bio (members names, band history, etc)
- CD
- Band Photo
- Video (live, studio, Music video) 8mm and VHS only (this is optional)
- submission form (just fill this out, hit submit, and be sure to send the presskit to:

If you have your songs copyrighted through BMI, please notify them that you will be allowing us to post your works online.
When you send in all the info, we will get you added.

If you are interested in selling your cd's through The CD Palace online music store, print out the submission form and send in with 5 additional cd's.
