In 2002, the excellent "The Will To Kill" made MALEVOLENT CREATION one of the main reference bands regarding violent US Death Metal. And now it's time to re-state their status with "Warkult". Like all other MALEVOLENT CREATION releases before, the new album also deals with war and its brutality. It provides the listener with extremely massive and meaty riffs, deadly hooks and oppressive atmosphere. Additionally long time drummer Dave Culross is back in MALEVOLENT CREATION's line up, showcasing a blistering performance! Recorded at Liquid Ghost Recording Studio in Boca Raton, FL, by Phil Plaskon, produced and mixed by Jean Francois Degenais (KATAKLYSM) and mastered by Bernard Belley in Montreal, Canada, "Warkult" is the band's most diverse and punishing creation to date. Straight fired out of the cannon's muzzle: This is caustic US Death Metal the way it was meant to be, direct and uncompromising. MALEVOLENT CREATION celebrate the ultimate WARKULT! MALEVOLENT CREATION started their career back in 1987 in Buffalo, NY, where they recorded & distributed their first demo tape. In 1988 the guys moved to Florida and produced the second demo with a pressing of 1.000 copies. Finally the third demo one year later brought MALEVOLENT CREATION a record deal with Roadrunner and the first full length album showed up 1991, named "The Ten Commandments". The recording processes of the following albums such as "Retribution" (1992) and "Stillborn" (1994) were riddled with line up changes, a fact that should become kind of a MALEVOLENT CREATION trademark (statement of mastermind Phil Fasciana: "If you're too slow, you've got to go"), but never effected the power and skills of the band in a negative way. Quite the contrary: MALEVOLENT CREATION fought their martial battles better and better on each release. The bestial terror from Florida went on with killer records like "The Fine Art Of Murder" (1998), "Manifestation" (2000) and "Envenomed" (2000) until MALEVOLENT CREATION released one of their biggest milestones thus far in the form of the excellent "The Will To Kill": Bulldozing sounds and the inhuman voice of new growler Kyle Symons made the album a sonic punch in the stomach and a delicate deadly neckbreaker. Starting from the hellish groove laden 'Dead March' to the brutal onslaught of 'Shock And Awe', "Warkult" is a 45 minutes lasting extreme lesson in war with MALEVOLENT CREATION being the merciless war strategists. Hope you're a good soldier...

Billy Joel was in a heavy metal band named Atilla where he played the organ. The group released one album in 1969. The cover of the group's lone album pictured Joel and drummer Jon Small, dressed as Huns, standing in a meat locker.
