The Gauntlet: Çophnath Paneah

Çophnath Paneah Bio

Çophnath Paneah   Band Members

Balder - all instruments (bass, guitars, keyboards) & vocals

Subgenres:

Çophnath Paneah is the solo project of Balder.

Formed back in 2001, the first demo song "Elvidnir" was recorded later that year. Çophnath Paneah focused on dark melodies, and great melancholy in music with a unique taste of aggression.

Later in 2002, Balder recorded 4 songs: "Aesthetic anthem" that had a classical aggressive style with a vocal between melancholy and brutality. "The fable" that was recorded and mixed on a pc but with no vocals to retain the quality of the sound. Then came "Extreme Misery, Grand Pain, and Fearful Ignorance" and "Aglaia" that were recorded on a tape recorder with a very bad quality... In the beginnings of 2003 "An archaic grace" and "Farewells to thee..." were recorded with a higher quality, but yet all the songs were with no drums, and no bass because of unavailability of equipments.

So later the same year, Balder compiled the seven.
The demo was distributed on friends only because of the bad recording.
