CUTTHROAT was formed by very familiar to the japanese metal freaks in april 98. Because you can find Mirai(vocals) and Shinichi (guitar and cho) of SIGH and Yasuyuki(bass and cho) and Youhei(drums) of ABIGAIL. We decided to create a pure thrash metal. Our 1st gig was in 4, my 98 at Tokyo.
We played a lot of cover songs by VOIVOD, WARFARE, SACRIFICE, THE MISFITS, RAZOR, TANKARD, HIRAX, EXODUS, ANVIL BITCH, etc. Because we haven't time make original songs. But we recived great response from real thrash metal fans.
In january 99 we released the 1st promo tape "CUTTHROAT live promo tape 99" The sound quality on this tape very great and it was only for $2.
In summer 1999 we have gotten a CD deal on ISO666 releases (Gre). And finally we decided make to original songs. Debut CD "Rape! Rape! Rape!" was recorded at studio zen in November 99. |
