"Amen's more pissed off than we ever were." So says former Sex Pistol Steve Jones of L.A. punk band Amen. The group took shape in the mid-'90s when frontman Casey Chaos hooked up with guitarist Paul Fig and began experimenting with their raw, visceral sound and in-your-face lyrics. Later adding Larkin on drums, Tumor on bass and ex-Snot guitarist Sonny Mayo on guitar, the lineup of Amen was complete.
The band signed to Ross Robinson's I Am Records, an imprint of Roadrunner, to record their self-titled debut. Amen, produced by Robinson, is slated for a late September 1999 release.
