The Gauntlet: E. Town Concrete

E. Town Concrete Bio

E. Town Concrete   Band Members

Anthony Martini - Vocals

DeLux - Guitar

Eric DeNault - Bass

Teddy P - Drums

Subgenres:

Hailing from Elizabeth, NJ the band comes from the hardcore scene and has cited Jay-Z to Guns ‘n' Roses to Hatebreed, as influences. The Renaissance, produced by Scrap 60 (Primer 55, H2O, ill Nino), echoes the struggle of the hardcore, urban lifestyle from which E-Town Concrete has emerged. Their lyrics are raw with grit and paint an honest picture of urban street life, helping the band to garner a large and loyal following. The quartet is noted as transcending multiple music genres, and with their willingness to experiment, has consistently generated new sounds with powerful and supportive fan reaction.

The band (lead singer Anthony Martini, guitarist DeLux, bassist Eric DeNault and drummer Teddy P.) has already made an impression in its seven-year history, garnering spins on major radio stations, such as New York City's famous 92.3 K-Rock while ranked by CMJ among the Top Five Loud Rock Acts in 1998. E.Town has beaten out Korn, the Deftones and Sepultura on playlists, and has outsold Metallica and Pearl Jam in major alternative music retailers. The group has made an impressive showing overseas as well, as illustrated in September 2002 in Japan, during which E. Town Concrete played a nearly sold out tour. In addition, the band has spent the last few months touring with such acts as Hatebreed, Ill Nino, Otep and Kittie.
