"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. " - luke 6:41-42
Alove For Enemies is an idea; an idea that goes beyond the boundaries of music and into ministry. Ministry?, you say, well we know a lot of you out there have a bad taste in your mouth when it comes to christian ministry. Maybe it was because you witnessed a "money making" scam, or ministries blowing up abortion clinics, etc. That is why ALFE exists. To break down the walls of misconception, to mend the line between speculation and truth. We are christians, we believe in Jesus; and we will never fall away from that conviction. however, we are not here to judge people, or to force our beliefs on anyone; rather we are here to educate people, to show them, to the best of our ability, the real side of christianity. To be a christian is to be Christlike , here is a man (historically) who loved everyone regardless of race,sex,age, or creed. We have set our goal to be the same way. Accepting of everyone at any time, while professing our beliefs in a non-threating, non-alienating way; and also remaining strong in our convictions. We love hardcore music, we love Jesus. And hardcore to us, is to take a stand on something, whether it be straightedge, animal rights, anything you believe in, hardcore gives you the forum to do that in. This is who we are, and what we
stand for. |
